Day #16 in the PINK – The Value Separates!

O.k. I’m half way there.  Struggling today.  I have changed clothes I believe at least 4 times.  It dawned on my the reason is what I try to communicate to most people and that is that you do not have enough tops in VARIETY to make a difference in your wardrobe.

Most people are comfortable with a specific type (fabric, style etc) of clothing.  You find yourself purchasing the same garment (fabric and style) over and over again just in different colors.

For me in this “collection” of pink I have  settled on quite a few casual pieces which is making it very difficult to work into my closet.  So, after much flipping around and changing tops and bottoms, I have decided to edge it up a bit.

DSCN1883Today it is a brown suede skirt, brown fishnets, brown suede boots (I know it would look  better with brown leather-but hey give me a break!) brown tank and my soft pink crocheted sweater.  It works.

So the moral of the story is when you are buying tops there should be at least 5 (FIVE) tops for every bottom that you own.  Did you know that?  It’s not the bottoms that make your outfit unique but the tops.

Don’t forget that TODAY is the last day to register for STYLE CAMP.  It is fun and there are a few more seats left to sign up.  We have a blast and you learn how to dress in the style that says who you are!
