I just got off the phone with a friend who is participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day here in Atlanta this weekend.  Do you know it is her 3rd year in a row that she has done this!  That is some kind of commitment.  Go Meena, go Meena, go Meena!

I participated in the AVON 3- Day about 10 years ago and I will tell you once was enough for me.  Although the joy in participating has stayed with me, I don’t know if I could do it 3 years in a row!

 After event was over I felt that I had just a small inkling of what it must be like to become an Olympic Athlete.  When you are finished with the event there is a let down.  You’ve been training for so long you are at a loss for what the next step might be.  Preparation consumes your life.  It is a tremendous accomplishment and I acknowledge all of those who participate in any fund-raising endeavour. 

So here’s to Meena! You go girl!  Don’t forget why this is being done!

This year in Atlanta it will be October 23-25th.  Come on out and support the walkers.  If you can’t support them in person, pray for good weather!   Click here to see the site.
