Day #22 in the PINK-Dressing Up Adds Up

I’m writing this on Wednesday night. Going to have to plan early what I’ll wear tomorrow.  I have a full day workshop to a group of women.  Do you think they will understand my PINK?  I hope so.  Maybe it will inspire some creative thinking about COLOR!

Here’s today!  DSCN1972As I have been working through the month of PINK, I have run into several women who tell me that they don’t have to “dress” for work.  All I want to say is “don’t you WANT to dress for work?”

What does “dressing for work” mean to you?  Does is mean weekend wear?  Does it mean a pair of khakis and a shirt.  What does dressing mean to you?  Don’t you want to feel like you are “dressed for work”.  Remembering when I first started in the working world I was so excited to begin to “dress up” like I was going to work.  It made me feel important.

I have often wondered over the past 20 years or so since business casual has come into play whether or not people have felt that their jobs are very important.  I also wonder if the productivity of workers has declined since they do not “dress for work” anymore…..I wonder…….

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be “dressing up” for work again.  I truly feel that dressing up adds up and I hope you do to!
